Marks/Inscriptions: C. 448 Coe, Ernest Frau (1857- -1915) was the third son of John Coe of Bruce - Coe Lodge Irwell and his first wife, Mary Ann Rowland . Coe Lodge, Irwell. He and Ecwo d Parnham of Kaipoi were the trustees of the estate, The estate was ent up and sold in april 03. There were 2300 acres the number of Cots were 14 and the land averaged . per acre. According to fam. inf. Ralph and Bure , the two sons of John Coe by his second marriage bought the homestead block. He had made a success of his managing jot and after the sale was over want for a long tip to Eng. On hs return he bought frum W. Alen , the "Grayer , Irwell. This had originally belonged to Aaron Frankish. He was a successful staid breeder and showed at the Ellesmere and ChCh. shows. He was pres. of the Ellesmere A. +P. Aso. and during his year of office horse. boesky were built on the ground. Parnham of Kaiapoi he left widow and 3 47. old son by this marriage. He d. 1.9.15 at The Grange, Irwell ag. 57 The loss and the Pam hams were corrected by marriage , Edwin Parnham marr (1.) Mary , youngest dau of Peter Coe of Steeple Bumps tad , sox .
