Marks/Inscriptions: B. 249. Beal , William (1854- ) born at York , the eldest son of Henry Beal and came out with his parents in the Clontarf , arriving at Lylt. Jan. '59. The family settled at Eas t Eyreton and he started to farm when old enough. He was left 50 ac. which he continued to farm as his Own account. He was a member of the Eyreton Sch. comm. marr.
