Marks/Inscriptions: B. 219 Bales, Thomas Thomas Bales and Wm Bales , chair mare - fa tires of Thar St. diss. part. 7.10.67. Thomas Bales carried on. His Chair manu factory on the comer of Madras and Lichfield Streets was burnt to the ground. The total dau.age was over £20 00; insurance £100, June 76. In oct 79 he prosecuted Mathew Henderson for Abel M.H. hard accused him of honing tims t finds which he had received as tester of the late Frederick Lane, butcher in an unlaw fuel manner. The Statement was made to H.B. Lane a brother , also a butcher. Bales, in the End, dropped his prosecution. Thomas Bates , youngest son of Wm. Bales of ChCh marr. 8.2.72 at St Johns hat. S9. by Rev. E .Bailey to Sophia 6' dau of Wm. Murison, Stich an Aberdeen Scotland Thomas H. Bales , evangelist. marr. 31.1.79 at ChCh by Rev. Chas Dallaston to Selma Anne only dau of Wm. Lad brook of Prebbleton. not known of the above marriage Amoun cement refer to the same marr; or if to different men , which is the right on.
