Marks/Inscriptions: B. 207 Bassett Samuel ( remedy. (18 40-1914) , Ire Bassett and the Monowai both came from l1s more , Down patrick near Belfast. Horow left furs + and wrote to Bassett 1 recommending that he jour him in N.Z. S0 the firm of Morrow , Belt was founded inr '66. They started selling rams and honing ery . heir by success began whom they started to sell McCormick binders . These were wire binders and they sold fifty in the first year. . The following year the form passed 830 bundes through their hands selling 6o0 in Cant ibn and the balance in Otago. In 180 Thomas Bassett, nephew of S.R.B. became the sole partner in the farm ; the there partners , David Morrow, S. K.Bassett and Mrs Bassett dss. part. in that year. Binder were first demonstrated in '78 and this coincided with the opening of the Canty Plains by the railway and the budging of the r iverson .
