Marks/Inscriptions: B. 200 Barwell , George (1830- -1911) was born in London and educated there. and had a business training. He was a member of the first London Trades Connal, He and his wife arrived gt Lylt. by the Zealandia 12.11.89. Susan Barwell signed the address to the Captain - may have been a sister. He worked on stations in the Oxford dist. for some years. In evidence Cunningham bros. V. Macfarlan Sept. 67 he said he was a farmer near Loburn and worked for Cunningham as a wool picker. He started with 30 acres at Loburn and increased it to 1000 aces freehold and leasehold He carried Border Lee. - Heinous cross sheep He was one of those who joined in setting the first school hilt at Loburn and was a member of the Loburn Sch. Amin. 70- - also auditor. He worked to set the Ashley budge built was a member of the Ashley Rd. Bd 76- 78 and of the School + Library com ms . Sam Barwell the Cunanan veteran was his brother and lived near him. marr. 7.3.59 at the parish ( Church , Holborn Ann Jane Lambert Moore. she died St Albans 17.10.18. He d. 3.2.110 3.3.4 aged 81.
