Marks/Inscriptions: A. 174 Anderson , James (18 28-83) came out to Caut 7. in the early '50's Ria foe and had a blacks mith shop in Charles St and later on. the North Road Opposite Daley Square. He and Joseph Keetley of Kaiapoi were rival plough make s and their plough s met in the pion hing match at Kaiapoi in Ang 1 and in microns) later matches. Aft the diner at Whites Hotel after the match ther was 4A Warn Chisels ion over the merits of the rival plough s; Anderson was a swin 8 plough, a modified Barrow mar (a well known English in8 p imported plough) . Keely 's was a wheeled plough; both were Single furrow . Chas Fraser to Mary Am Alfrey. (b 1837 . She had come out with her parents in the Charlotte Jane in '50 ( se Geo. ace ray). She had acted as munce to Dr Bankers family.
