Marks/Inscriptions: A. 170 Anderson, y (1848-1925) was born at lat, Aberdeen+eds n, George Hilary ( and came out with his parents in the Fatima in 51 . As a lad he worked for S. Morn sey , Rangiora but he felt est ess and moved on to Mrs O'Connell6s Mt Grey Station. From there he went as fry masri on the Hurunui River on the Culverden Road. A ferry mans life did not suit him and he was taken in al Leslie Hills as station Carpenter. He built the first Presby ter ian Church and Manse at Waiau. and the C+lena.lan Budge on the Culverden - Waiau toad. and He was fond of James, was interested in pout ies Clough h e too k no active part in them. He had an excellent memory and could tall splendid stories of Canty. in the Early days. sisters Mrs Forbes , both of ChCh.
