Marks/Inscriptions: A. 682 Aitken, James Horne Rigg. (1832-92) He was thirty two years younger than his bother John Christie, It is rot known whether he lo bed after ary of J. C' stations in N.Z . He would en too young to do very much in Australia. Sphe fist thing kn own about him is that he owned Rocky Pount station Hakatura mea in the 60's. In '71 in partnership with one of the Chanda lans he bought Buccleuch from the N.Z. Loan +Mercantile . He was the marrying partner and lived on the station "until it wes sold to J.E. Taylor in '76. (acland) J.E. Taylor was Isaac Edward Taylor. He was one f the Taylor Brothers who later had Winter dow. Aitken and his partner handed overe 7ac. on th. Edga f Mr. Somers village to the Church Property Trisle, . The Rev. H. Purchas got a churches built on it which was consecrated in 1900 He bought Glenore from C.F. Bark qv. Nov 75 and it was of 998 ac freshly , 8000 leasehold and carried 5000 sheets . the price was £ 7000. Barker , a nephew of Dr Barker, had bought it trim Hamilton Ward who had bought a good deal of land ont of Malvern Hells Run on age of the Canty. Investment Co. in '66. In '79 Glendore was advertised for sale and Arken had been doing some freehold ng . It was now stated to be of 2455 freehold and 1000 ac leasehold . He had 200 ac . of Oats onit next y Ear . J.T.
