Description
One Neolithic earthenware urn; free brush painted linear design decorates the lower, mid, top and handles; two thin lines outline the lower body, broken only beneath the handles where two lines run up to meet either side of each handle, bordering in two crisscrossing lines; sides of handles are lined with two lines across the lower width of the handle and three lines across the upper width of the handle of which the top line joins the jar's outer lip linear design of three lines that run the whole jar broken only by the handles; the lowest line forms the base for the crescent design that is repeated on the inner lip of the jar except using three lines; three lines are also used just above the belly; each of the pair of 15mm wide handles protrude from the mouth of the jar to the mid-body; the lip opens out to 82mm in diameter.
