Urn: Neolithic Earthenware
Description
One Neolithic earthenware urn of meiping form; no neck nor foot ring, only a lip that extends out to 120mm in diameter; free brush painted geometric design decorates most of the body using mainly 18mm thick lines of black and red pigment; lowest boarder consists of half circles; main design feature are four large circles filled with thin-lined diagonal net design; inner lip is also decorated with thin painted curved lines; two small thumb handles of differing widths, one being 34mm, the other 31mm wide, protrude from where the body tapers down to the base.
