Researcher comments/remarks
As the Lyttelton Road Tunnel was closed to all but emergency traffic, the annual Lyttelton Summer Festival became a much smaller event where locals met for an afternoon of impromptu entertainment. 'The Pirates of Corsair Bay' production was put on hold and then rescheduled for 10 March 2012. The posters for these events remained on display in the window of Leslie's Bookshop until the building was demolished in September 2012.
