Researcher comments/remarks
Adaptability and quick thinking has become a key part of business survival in post earthquake Canterbury. The owner of this building insisted that the demolition of the damaged main part of the building in 2011 not include the smaller more modern wing. This allowed the remaining segment of the building to be enclosed with a side wall then remodelled and opened as an Indian Restaurant.
