Researcher comments/remarks
Of the ten buildings visible in this photograph of Oxford Street only two remained standing in September 2013. Some, like the former Norton's Building (with the collapsed frontage), were demolished within days. Others remained standing until 2013 as decisions about their future were not made until engineering and insurance assessments could be carried out to determine if it was economically viable to repair them.
