Researcher comments/remarks
This large multicoloured polka dot heart on denim backing was produced by the clothing brand MisteR as a symbol of support for Christchurch following the 22 February 2011 earthquake. Mickey Lin and Ra Thompson, MisteR's designers, produced this heart so that the Hapa Design Store could exhibit the 128 messages written on cards by visitors to the store. The Hapa store has been located in the outdoor container Re:START Mall developed in Cashel Street to rejuvenate the earthquake damaged central city.
