Researcher comments/remarks
This postcard is one of 15 released by The New Zealand Postcard Society (Inc.) that feature images of Christchurch after the 4 September 2010 earthquake. The description on the reverse of the postcard reads: "Cranford St & Westminster St block of shops. Containing several businesses including Altron TV, a clothing shop and Tai Takeaways, the 80 year old building also housed several flats on its second storey. An aftershock on 6th September caused the building to be declared unsafe and it was demolished that same day."
