This postcard is one of 15 released by The New Zealand Postcard Society (Inc.) that feature images of Christchurch after the 4 September 2010 earthquake. The description on the reverse of the postcard reads: "Simply Catering. A two storey building on the corner of Madras and Salisbury St which was promptly demolished on the 12th of September 2010 only 8 days after the quake. The Simply Catering Company announced plans to continue the business from nearby premises until a new building was erected."
