Description
One unglazed tan-brown earthenware figure in the form of a horse's head. Fragment of a larger piece. Horse's head presented in rearing posture with ears pricked and mouth open. Details of head and bridle moulded in relief.

Provenance details
Gifted by Alley in during a visit to New Zealand in 1937, this is believed to be a copy of a Han Dynasty original.
