Strap: Harness

Production date
20th Century
Description
A brown leather strap that has been looped over and bound and been cut from something at the other end.
Looped end has a number of holes punched through the centre, it would appear that these holes are for adjusting the length. The loop is bound closed using a thin length of leather strip that has been bound through and around the leather strap. The edges of the strap have been rolled to give an impressed finish. It would appear that the strap has been cut and another attempt to cut the strap has failed over half way through.
Relic formally stored at Scott Base after restoration of Discovery hut in 1963-64
