This photograph looks along Cashel Street towards Oxford Terrace. It features the Westpac Bank building in the distrance and the white building in the foreground is the John Bates and Co Ltd Building. John Bates and Co Ltd was a china shop located just along from Ballantynes which is out of shot. The John Bates and Co Ltd building was occupied by clothing store Country Road at the time of the 22 February 2011 earthquake has subsquently been demolished. This location has formed part of the Re:START Mall located on Cashel Street.
