Mail Bag: Canvas

Description
A heavy canvas bag proclaiming "Domestic U.S. Mail" with the letters "J2" and "2". There is a paper label in a slide holder on the tie cord that proclaims Christchurch Dis. NEW ZEALAND Prints mail No (15 in pen) Fr NYB & FMC. The bag is made of heavy white canvas and is sewn closed down both sides, it appears the material is new. There is a series of steel eyelets across the top of the bag though this is threaded nylon? rope. The rope is secured by a metal toggle. The toggle is made of pressed steel and is designed in such a way as that when closed a round a hole is exposed and through this can be placed a padlock.
