Description
Famille verte bowl of flared form with raised foot: interior decorated with single figure in a green cloak with a frieze of trellis work, red flowerheads and green leaves framing 4 panels with alternating Jewel and Mirror (two of the Eight Precious Things); the exterior with a continuous scene: ([L-R] old man in long grey robe with raised staff or stick, confronting a pointing warrior on horseback holding a spear, to his rear two soldiers or servants holding pikes or poles; the whole set in a rocky landscape with trees.
