Famille verte tureen and lid: domed cover with with bud knop, decorated with 4 panels of alternating birds in blossom foliage and insects, framed by green chevron lines and red honeycomb borders with flowerhead band to rim, painted with with red flowers on green ground; bowl with deep foot and pair of curved, fretted handles: similar rectangular panels and borders.

Marks/Inscriptions: underglaze blue seal within double square, encircled by 2 blue lines; Type of mark: Maker's Mark; Method: Painted; Notes: One character (zhi) signifies "made" - probably means "made to order". Same seal as on 2008.86.11 AV11and 2008.86.132
