Pair of trousers with braces

Description
Trans-Antarctic Expedition issue clothing-crossing party. Blue cotton high waist trousers lined in brownish gabardine. Braces of wide grey elastic attached with metal clasp to cream heavy webbing tape attached to buttons in waistband. Possibly Geoff Townsend Ohaka. Label inside rear waistband. Windproof trousers, size 5, waist 48 inches, leg seam 33½ inches. Waistband has large eyelet holes (brass) with black webbing tape draw cord. Groin has reinforced opening with zip and double buttoned flap. Patch on pocket near right and front left with button down flap. Double reinforced knee. Elastic draw cord ankle, braces adjustable.
