Box, Needlework: Painted cottage-shaped workbox
Description
One cottage-shaped multi-coloured wooden workbox used by Mrs Emma Barker, wife of Alfred Charles Barker. Used on the voyage of the Charlotte Jane to New Zealand in 1850. The box is in the form of a cottage and was used to hold sewing materials.
