Mountfort & Luck Architectural Plan: Riccarton Church
One architectural plan by Benjamin Mountfort and Isaac Luck of Riccarton Church (likely St Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Riccarton); north west view, perspective drawing. Caption on aperture card for this plan reads: "Completed in partnership with Isaac Luck, 1851".
It is likely that this perspective drawing is an early conception of Benjamin Mountfort's stone design for St Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Riccarton. Originally on the site was a wooden church, consecrated in 1858, the design of which is attributed to Isaac Luck, Mountfort's brother-in-law. The chancel of the new stone church was opened in 1876, though the building was not fully completed until 1929.
