One black and white photograph showing four crewmen of the Terra Nova gathering sea ice to water the ship. In the distant background can be seen the Western Mountains. Accompanied by a handwritten caption stating 'Watering ship from sea ice off Granite Harbour. The Western Mountains in background are 30 or 40 miles away. 23 Jan 1912 6.30pm'.
