Description
One black and white photograph showing an area of open seawater in the foreground and sea ice in the background. Just in front of the ice can be seen the dorsal fin of a whale, thought to be a minke whale, protruding above the surface of the water. Accompanied by a handwritten caption stating 'Rostrala whale. MacMurdo Sound. Jan 14. 6pm'.
