Kris and scabbard

Malay kris (dagger) and scabbard. Kris is wave or snake-bladed type. Blade thin and double-edged from hand-forged and layered steel. Hilt of hard wood in traditional style. Blade tanged and set in natural resin (gum). Scabbard or sheath: wood crafted from three pieces. Top section of normal upswept type; bottom section sheathed in brass with raised leaf pattern on front side.
