Dagger, knife and scabbard
Description
Dagger or short sword and knife in scabbard: copper habaki and seppa. The small dagger guard is of copper and displays a plant design on its outer surface. The blade of the kozuka (dagger) is clearly inscribed and the copper handle shows the relief of a man with a large fish. Fuchi, menuki and kachira are all of copper. The hilt of the knife is decorated with white stingray skin covered by a fine plaited cord. The sword tang is inscribed on both sides. The wooden scabbard is decorated with dark lacquer; the kachira is of copper.
