Description
Silver plated presentation cup awarded to Gunner Tucker, of the Lyttelton Volunteer Artillery, 24 May 1872. Awarded by Captain Edward Giraud. Large inverted half egg shaped bowl supported by 3 crossed rifles that are wrapped in a wreath and mounted on three pointed base. Bowl engraved "LVA" "Presented by Capt Giraud won by Gunner Tucker" "24 May 1872". Base has beaded edge and fleur-de-lys stamped B.P. & Co. - the mark of Benjamin Petersen.
