Researcher comments/remarks
This photograph captures the back view of Helen Connon Hall taken from Park Terrace in Christchurch. This was a hall of residence for up to 70 female students from the University of Canterbury between 1916 and 1974. When the university moved to the Ilam campus, Helen Connon Hall was sold to Cathedral Grammar School and renamed Chester Hall. The building was demolished in 2001.
