Researcher comments/remarks
The Stewart Fountain, named after Sir Robertson Huntley Stewart, was located at the corner of Colombo, High and Hereford Streets. The fountain, sculpted by Laurence Karasek, was declared open on 25 September 1971. The area in which the fountain was located was redeveloped in 2007-2008 and the fountain removed. The area was named Stewart Plaza, continuing the association with Sir Robertson Huntley Stewart.
