Compass: Metal

Grey and black metal compass. The compass has three legs (or brackets) on the base. A top layer of glass and the compass needle is missing. There were some fragments of glass stuck under the rim but these have been removed for safety. Liquid is floating round in the compass but it is not leaking. There is lever on the compass which acts as a clamp. A metal label screwed on the side reads "A M Ref6A/72G" . "Type P.8 No. 78956.D" is engraved in white letters on the rim of the compass.
