Description
One decorative finial, entitled "Making An Entrance Finial III". High fired earthenware, hand formed piece representational of/inspired by fence finial. Centrepiece sits on 105mm2 x 20mm mount, the bottom 2/3 of which being dipped in terracotta colour paint. Top of mount has green glaze, which is the same as the remainder of the piece. Finial has six pair of side protruding arms, which alternate from curving up to carving down as they move up the filial. Top three pair of protrusions have yellow glazed tips, and finial point is similarly coloured.
