Description
A porcelain, greenish tinge to body, dessert plate with a gilded and floral design. Some fire specks inclusions and blue marks. Overall very fine butting to glaze. Kiln grit (slight) on foot rim (causes dish to wobble slightly). Enamelled and gilded decoration. Slightly warped in kiln. Narrow scalloped rim sloping inwards. Central circular reserve with triangular spray of crimson/pink and yellow flowers on white with leaves and buds, with gilded scallop border. Scale blue ground with three large roccoco cartouches with gilded borders and central floral polychrome on white ground, and three small ditto. Three pairs of asymmetrical triangular cartouches, decorated with single polychrome flowers and gilded borders, placed around rim. Footrim triangular. Underglaze painted blue crescent (open).
