Description
Childs (mahogany?) rocking chair curved back rails and uprights with turned and knobbed arms, legs and bends. Stretchers turned to give slightly bulbous look. 485mm long bends, of which the left has been broken at the back leg, repaired by two rectangular metal plates screwed to either side. Seat has been shared to conform to users posterior. Uprights secured by wedging done form the underside of the seat. Base of bends have wooden strip secured by five screws to provide rocking surface and strength varnished. Has cream and blue stripe pillow, fitted for the seat.
