Description
Mantle clock made from seppentine black and plaster. Black (bakelite) top, sides and facing, broken on front upright edges by green serpenine recessed columns. White metallic face with black roman numerals surrounded by copper alloy frame. Bevelled glass cover swings open right to left. At back, parallel to face 110mm diameter copper alloy door opens to reveal interior. Clock mechanism case alloy. Pendulum suspended along the centre of mechanism, partly obscured by chime dome hammer for chime at right. Two 2mm diameter rods run vertically either side of mechanism to support case. Clock held in place by two horizontal metal strips screwed to back.
