Description
Belaying pin, wooden; found in Sumner in 1965. Lathe turned wood with bulbous handle head & slightly tapered shaft. End of shaft hand carved to rounded point. Handle & shaft separated by carved plaited ring element. End of shaft, at point, has hole drilled through to accommodate string coop.
