Bottle: snuff
Description
One crackle glazed blue and white ceramic snuff bottle. A short narrow neck surmounts an elongated cylindrical body tapering at the bottom towards a circular base. Neck ringed with ruyi design. Body presents continuous design of mounted hunters and attendants passing by an arched stone gate bearing the Chinese characters 得勝門 (Gate of Victory). Just below the shoulders on one side of the bottle are four Chinese characters 旗旗得勝 meaning 'Victory always!' 'Success!' or 'Good hunting!'
