Inscription at top reads: "大中華帝國洪憲元年灶君之神位”, meaning "The Tablet for the Kitchen God in the First Year (1916) of Hong Xian Emperor of the Empire of China”. The characters below this headline present 12 months and 24 “solar terms”, with every month containing two “solar terms”.
