Jade: pendant

Description
One rectangular translucent white jade pendant. Obverse and reverse present engraved continuous wave pattern. Carved ornamentation of upper extremity is laterally inverted mirror repetition of that at lower extremity. Likely Hetian jade from Xinjiang

Provenance details
Carried to New Zealand in 1957 by George Jackson of Auckland, and from Auckland to Christchurch by Jack Locke.
