Description
One porcelain pure white body tea cup. Wide shape tapering to narrow base, ring handle with kick-up, protrudes above rim of cup (typical English shape c 1845+). Pedestal foot. Fluted and scalloped rim. Gilded rim. Exterior white with tow sprays of fine gilded foliage. Gilded stripe on handle. Gilded edge to pedestal foot. Interior dark blue with three pairs of white flowers with gilded edges and foliage, gilded scrolls and week pattern. Central base white with gilded foliage trailing in to centre. Unmarked. Glaze pooled, slightly bluish.
