Description
Fine black and white check wool top with bias yoke front (kept firm on net backing), with patent leatherette bow at waist. D378 1958 (MRM).

Neckline: V shaped at front, rounded at back, self faced.

Collar: One piece, 4.3cm deep at centre back, 6cm at front collar, turn back placket opening at centre front. 20cm long x 5.3cm wide, fabric cut on straight.

Bodice Style: Loose.

Sleeve Style: Front armhole inset, back part of back bodice, the back panels also form the back of the sleeves. Hem turned under once 3.5cm overlocked edge and hand stitched in place.

Waistline: Natural, undefined, loose.

Skirt Shape: Straight.

Seams: Machine sewn, black cotton thread.

Edges: Overlocked black cotton thread or selvedge.

There is remnants of blue, brown, green and white and red cotton thread sewn at armhole edges, with some remains of cardboard.
