Description
Givson Girl striped ribbon, threaded blouse. Worn and washed almost to point of no return! D384 1950-1960s (MRM).
Neckline: Rounded, sitting neatly at the base of the throat, opening at centre back.
Collar: Small standing collar 2.5cm deep. The collar is covered with a 3.3cm wide nylon lace, that has inserted through its centre a 1cm wide black nylon ribbon. There's a buttonhole on the back collar but its corresponding button is missing.
Bodice Style: Mainly straight.
Sleeve Style: One piece, inset sleeve, with slight gathering at sleeve head. 3/4 length. The end of the sleeve has been gathered onto a 2.5cm cuff which has the same lace/ribbon overlay as the collar.
Waistline: Undefined.
Seams: Overlocked, white cotton thread.
Edges: Overlocked, white cotton thread.
Buttons: Opaque white plastic, two hole centre, flat surface, 1.1cm diameter.
Buttonholes: Machine, horizontal, white cotton thread, 1.5cm.
Lace applied with a machine chain stitch.
