Description
Duster coat in turquoise street velvet, shawl collar. Donna Rae model. 1950s D183 (MRM).

Neckline: Front is a deep V shape with the back rounded. Self faced with the facing attaching to the lining.

Collar: Shawl collar with a centre back seam. In one with the neck and front facings. 15cm wide at widest point (shoulder). 44cm long front (from shoulder to buttonhole).

Bodice Style: Straight.

Sleeve Style: Two piece, 'semi' raglan sleeve, fully lined. Hem turned under once and attached to lining.

Waistline: Undefined.

Skirt Shape: Straight.

Seams: (Outer) - machine sewn, turquoise cotton thread. (Lining) - machine sewn, black cotton thread.

Edges: Left raw.

At the seam between the centre back neck facing and the collar is located a lining fabric coat hangers. Located 6cm under the right armhole in the internal side seam are two lining fabric ties 58cm x 2cm.
