Description
Floral sateen cotton in crinolined and hooped highly structured dressmaking example of time. 1950s-1960s D381 (doesn't correspond with sheets) (MRM).
Neckline: Boat shaped in the front, low rounded at back (about 15cm down from nape). Self faced.
Collar: No collar.
Bodice Style: Semi fitted.
Sleeve Style: One piece, inset, slight gathering at sleeve caps, short (upper arm) self faced hem.
Waistline: Natural, fitted/semi fitted. Both sides of the waistline have green cotton thread plaited belt keepers (5.5cm wide). No belt.
Skirt Shape: Cone shaped.
Seams: Machine sewn, outer green cotton thread, under white cotton thread.
Edges: Outer turned under once and machine neatened green cotton thread. Underskirt french seamed.
