Description
NECKLINE AND COLLAR:

NECKLINE: Rounded; sitting at base of throat; edge bound in self bias strip, 1cm wide; back neck opening, closed by chrome hook & "dirty" light blue cotton thread blanket stitch eye; bias strip turns into neck facing.

COLLAR: No collar.

BODICE STYLE: Semi-fitted.

SLEEVE STYLE: One piece, inset, slight gathering at sleeve head, dart at back of sleeve (elbow). Hem: Turned under once ~ 4cm & handstitched in place.

WAISTLINE: Natural undefined. "Corset" style belt, self fabric 67.5 x 6.8cm, closed at front with three buttonholes (machine sewn, horizontal, blue cotton thread, 1.2cm long) either side, tied together with a self fabric tie 59cm long x ~ 0.9cm.

SKIRT SHAPE: Slight flare.

COMMENTS: SEAMS: Machine sewn, pale blue cotton thread. EDGES: Selvedge or pinked or raw (side panel). FRONT DARTS: Have been let out (stitching holes evident). SIDE PANELS: May have been added at a later date.
ALL OTHER EDGES: Are pinked except those which are raw, also evidence of cut cotton threads remains.
