Description
Clarsle battleship grey flannel skirt 1950s D382 (doesn't correspond to Mollie's sheets) (MRM).

Waistline: Natural. Waistband 3.5cm wide, top stitched in matching grey cotton thread and 6cm overlap with pointed edge, closed with a chrome coloured dome set and a chrome hook and grey cotton thread blanket stitch eye. Opening at centre back.

Skirt Shape: Slight flare, four gores.

Seams: Machine sewn, matching grey cotton thread.

Edges: Raw.

Looking at the seams internally, it looks as if the skirt has been taken in over the hips and waist - different thread used and tapering of seam width evident. Plus alterations at waistband.
