Description
NECKLINE AND COLLAR:
NECKLINE: Rounded, sitting at base of throat, faced with bias strip of self fabric 1.5cm wide.
COLLAR: Two individual pieces that overlap at the back by 8.5cm. Basically triangular in shape, small corner at back to collar of 11.5cm at front. Front edge trimmed with synthetic ribbon, pink backing with floral design in blues + greens. 1.9cm wide. Part of the front collar is a tie (both sides of C.F.) 2.8 x 29cm.
BODICE STYLE: Semi-fitted.
SLEEVE STYLE: Short sleeve, in one with, front & back bodice pieces; underarm gusset. 8.5 x 12cm fabric on "semi" bias. Hem of various widths, machine neatened & handsewn in place.
WAISTLINE: Natural, semi-fitted. Pink cotton thread blanket stitch belt loops sewn at both side seams of waist. Belt: 83.5 x 2cm; front is covered with ribbon (see collar), topstitched in place; four pink metal eyelet holes at opposite end to buckle, one at buckle end; buckle "D" shaped & covered in ribbon; back of belt pink plain weave cotton. Metal hook & pink cotton thread blanket stitch eye sewn to C.F. of dress (hidden).
SKIRT SHAPE: Straight.
COMMENTS: SEAMS: Machine sewn, pink cotton thread. EDGES: Turned under & machine neatened; pink cotton thread. BUTTONS: Self covered, convex, 1cm diam, attached at back. BUTTONHOLES: Machine sewn pink cotton thread, vertical; 1.1cm.
