Description
Print 'jungle' sateen skirt, very popular for current square dancing craze. D 359 (wrong number not compatible with list) 1950 (MRM).
Waistline: Natural, fitted. Waistband 4.5cm wide. 89cm long. Somebody has had several attempts at getting this on correctly and has failed miserably. Black topstitching is not straight, areas are puckered and uneven, there is obvious areas of unpicking etc. The closure at the waist is a self fabric rouleau loop and button.
Skirt Shape: Flared.
Seams: Machine sewn, generally black cotton thread but in some places also navy and brown. Tension on stitching very poor.
Edges: Selvedge or raw.
Button: White plastic 2cm wide, originally patterned but it looks like someone has melted it with an iron at some stage, destroying most of the pattern.
